Our Faith

"To prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."

The Statement of Purpose is based upon Ephesians 4:12,13: (NIV)

To glorify God and enjoy his goodness
We desire to worship together and to strengthen each and every believer within the body by; praise, prayer, scripture, hymns, sharing, fellowship and Bible study.

We desire a personal relationship with the living Lord, seeking to be like Jesus, and finding and doing the will of God.

To present the Biblical message of new life in Christ
The foundation of our church is rooted in the infallible Word of God and our total dependence on Him.
The Bible will be the basis of preaching and teaching in this church.
We will be evangelistic and presenting the gospel invitation to believe in Christ and to follow Him…The Good News.

To encourage one another in spiritual growth
We will recognize that each individual is special and has a special contribution to make within the body of Christ.

We desire to promote the on-going spiritual growth of each and every one to lead Christ-directed lives.

We will grow in Christ by:

  • striving to be like Him in our daily living
  • being receptive to the Holy Spirit
  • encouraging and admonishing one another with love and respect
  • showing compassion to all
  • furthering God’s kingdom by encouraging proportionate giving

To fulfill the great commission in our Church, our Community and throughout the World
We will seek to make disciples for Jesus as the Holy Spirit enables us.

We will be a spiritually alive and visible church in our community.

  • We will seek to share in the life of our community, to "be there" in need and joy alike, in witness to our risen Lord.
  • We will seek to be alert and responsive to the very real (including spiritual) needs of our community.

We will train our people to witness competently to others the Good News of the Gospel.
We will, whenever possible, make our building facilities available for any appropriate community need.
We will encourage our people to invite friends and neighbours to investigate not only life at Grace but also new life in Christ.
We will openly and warmly welcome ALL newcomers.
We will actively promote and support missions at home and abroad.
